ISSUE-149?

<trackbot> ISSUE-149 -- handling of long vibration list - truncate or no vibration at all -- open

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2009/dap/track/issues/149

fjh: what about the Note

anssik: asked for implementer feedback, got some feedback could go either way

fjh: why don't you put it in

anssik: how should we put this in

fjh: I suggest we put a '(Note)' with the word Note hyperlinked to the note at the end of the section, simply a href to id on div for Note

anssik: ok I'll figure out how to put it in

ISSUE-155?

<trackbot> ISSUE-155 -- Enable Feature Detection -- open

<trackbot> http://www.w3.org/2009/dap/track/issues/155

gmandyam: in SysApps defining device capability API

… thus better to use that API rather than baking it into the API itself

… this is another reason to defer this

Note publication

Updated CfC (ends 29 Oct): http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2013Oct/0130.html

fjh: I've updated the CfC to include Wayne's approach of publishing a short note that updates the status and links to the previous publication and editors draft

anssik: I can help creating the new short note

fjh: I can help with the status text
... we need to be aware of publishing moratorium

Network Service Discovery

gmandyam: Rich posted note to Sysapps list yesterday whether we can use zip referencing mechanism

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-sysapps/2013Oct/0042.html

<gmandyam> To clarify: Rich posted a query to the SysApps mailing list as to whether app:URI could be used for NSD to satisfy the current security concerns. The idea (as I understood it) is that app:URI could serve as a proxy for locally networked device service discovery.

fjh: am in process of checking on security review with focus on CORS, checking with Brad Hill, will not be at TPAC but at some other time
... also checking with PING chairs and Rich to arrange overview of spec for privacy group to be followed with privacy review
... we do not have active list discussion participants on the call today so will defer
