Could you add a visible note to the Sensor API spec that says something like (with a link to the DP draft):


The Device APIs Working Group decided to put this general Sensor API specification on hold and work on each sensor separately (see e.g. the Device Proximity).


I updated the DAP home page to reflect the Sensor API's "on hold" status. Also, I included the following note to the Device Proximity draft already in its initial version:


The functionality described in this specification was initially specified as part of the Sensor API but has been extracted in order to be more straightforward to implement, and in order to produce a specification that could be implemented on its own merits without interference with other features.


I hope these changes help clear the confusion.
