I have put together a first cut at a very narrowly scoped charter for an NFC working group aimed at standardizing a single API. The scope is limited to operations on NDEF devices such as reading, writing and peer to peer exchange of NDEF messages, but excluding card emulation mode. Originally, the plan was to include this API in either the Device APIs or System Level APIs Working Group charters, but the feedback on the AC Forum suggested that we should instead consider moving the NFC API into its own Working Group, so here it is: http://www.w3.org/2012/05/nfc-wg-charter.html Please address your comments to the public-nfc@w3.org mailing list. -- Dave Raggett <dsr@w3.org> http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett
