SEMC questions/comments on Powerbox

Hi,

See below. The issues have been discussed but I am not sure whether the issues have been resolved.

1. The use cases and discussions around Powerbox have so far been focused on "get resource" scenarios. To me it is still unclear how "write resource" scenarios are handled. According to the Powerbox draft specification a resource URL is provided to Powerbox. However, how are parameters defined that for example are needed for a "create new contact" use case? There was a discussion on CRUD operations at point 5 in http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2010Feb/0166.html Furthermore, Richards OpenProvider proposal covers CRUD use cases http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2010Mar/0021.html

This is still unclear to me and I think that examples of "write" use cases would help.

2. There have been discussions on interactive providers and how the resulting Provided Resource URL should point at the exact Resource (s) that are selected by the user.
- Is it up to Powerbox to modify the Provided Resource URL that is received with the Location header as a result of the user interaction?
- Robin also proposes (in "An Attempted Quick Walkthrough of the Powerbox Proposal") responses use the code 300 Multiple Choices and has an entity body that allows user interaction to choose resource and use 201 Created with a defined Location header when the choice has been made.
- Any other means?

Is there any resolution on this matter?

Regards
  Claes
