@patrickkettner I'm not sure if it's specific or not - but naturally it would mostly be relevant to cross-origin (where it would be banned by default). 

I know some people are cooking up a new spec (@igrigorik iirc?) to enable whitelisting these capabilities, but I can't remember what the spec is called.
