My first observation. We shouldn't encode the units directly in the interface. We cannot anticipate all the units that might be involved. It would not be good to be forced to update the API just to accommodate some new units that we had not originally anticipated. New units can be introduced via the vocabulary/ontology. Instead, the units should be abstracted in the interface.

I'll add my comments to the wiki pages. Anyone who wants to see the evolution of these pages can subscribe to them to get email updates.
