Opera does some reformatting when printing, to try to make sure pages fit  
horizontally on the page area. (This is similar to the View > Fit to Width  
option for regular screen browsing).

This can be disabled via Menu > Print > Print Options > Fit to paper width  
(at least on Windows) or Fit To Width Print in the Printer section of  
opera:config.
