http://test.csswg.org/suites/css2.1/20101001/html4/floats-031.htm http://test.csswg.org/suites/css2.1/20101001/xhtml1/floats-031.xht is invalid because it makes assumptions about how wide the "Filler Text" is at the default font size. With the default fonts in Mozilla on Linux, the text takes up too much of the second line for the inline block and the float to fit in the remaining space.
