The test uses an object element to render a PNG file. However, plug-ins may render this element and the plug-ins may or may not respect the intrinsic size of the image. For example, if QuickTime is your registered PNG viewer, rendering is different than if QuickTime is not registered. To eliminate the possible conflict with plug-ins the case needs to be simplified and needs to use an img element.
