I think I can take care of that, and will also double run it with font testers in our typography group to make sure Ahem meets quality bar.

There are some improvements that can be made to Ahem, making it better suited for CSS testing. E.g. I added ideographic space (U+3000) for our testers, because they needed to properly validate its behavior along with regular space. If you have a list of other things you would like to see added, I do not think they will be hard to do at the same time.
