What @AmeliaBR said. Wrt the other concerns in the linked message: - We're not using a separate property because the alt value needs to cascade together with the non-alt value. This was explained earlier in the thread. - We didn't want to use the comma-based syntax because we wanted to make it clear that this isn't a fallback value: alt text is used in conjunction with the rendered value.
