Strong agreement here. I really don't want to get in the habit of telling people "oh, just use the webkit version, no unprefixed property is required".  If there is agreement that this property has value to the web platform, that it is something whose use shouldn't be discouraged, that support is about more than just legacy compat, then it should have a prefix-free name.

Also, there are still many developers who are confused / surprised to discover that `-webkit-` properties work at all outside WebKit/Blink browsers.
