We seem to have two implementations of font-synthesis (fron L3) - Gecko and WebKit. Because that section of Fonts 3 has no tests, I made some which are here for review; https://www.w3.org/People/chris/fwf/index.html#s3.8 Gecko and Webkit fail on [test 4](https://www.w3.org/People/chris/fwf/font-synthesis-04.html) which checks that `font-synthesis: bold;` disables fake italic/oblique. Edge and Chrome fail all 5.
