In general, we have tried to keep Grid’s sizing algorithms symmetric. So I've a preference to keep things as they were [resolved in 523](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/523#issuecomment-288862103). Using the adjusted auto flex basis (the “transferred size” in the spec) in place of the intrinsic size makes sense, though.
