Hi Lisa,

I don’t think people think it is a new technology (in or out of the accessibility space), but it is something that has generally been regarded as requiring more effort than laws have specified.

Rather than adding more, it would help to say where it is available on the site. I had a look at a few and couldn’t find the customisation / personalisation options. I am relying on Google translate, but it does seem to translate the text reasonably well.

Also, I couldn’t see any which are doing the type of things that the COGA requirements are asking for, such as adding icons or changing the number of options available.

As I said, I might be missing something in the examples, but it would help to have a handful of ones that show what is being asked for and saying where that function is, rather than lots of examples.

Cheers,

-Alastair

people think that personalization is a new technology in the accessibility space. It has been successfully used for years. In Israel lots of big sites use it as the preferred way to meet accessibility requirements. There are three companies with competing technologies that I know who do it based on metadata and aria type semantics.

I put together some examples for you in telecom, banking, health care, commerce , airlines, government etc (If this is not enough I could spend some more time and double the list.
