Section 1.1 says:

"These are examples of compound documents:

XHTML + SVG + MathML
XHTML + SMIL
XHTML + XForms
XHTML + VoiceML"

None of these are examples of compound documents. They may be 
examples of compound document formats, but even in that case they are 
nowhere specified so they are at best potential compound document 
formats. The language here should be cleaned up.
