ISSUE-248 refers to this as well.

I took the action to contact Tom at Future Platforms about a remark he'd 
made about hcal support at the Over The Air conference in London 
recently. I did, and it seems that I wrongly contextualized his remark, 
and that he has no specific comment on how widespread such support might 
be in mobile devices.
