"The page is not XML well-formed."?! yes, it is.

Out of curiousity, I ran the checker on my homepage
  http://www.w3.org/People/Connolly/

It says...

"The page is not XML well-formed."
http://validator.w3.org/mobile/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FPeople%
2FConnolly%2F

which is news to me... and in fact, it's wrong; xmlwf
likes it just fine:

$ curl -s http://www.w3.org/People/Connolly/ |xmlwf

For reference...

$ curl -I http://www.w3.org/People/Connolly/
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
