Opera supports Ajax or something very close to it, so no need to wait for
WAP 3.

 

Also consider that, even if you hold your breath for WAP 3, most devices
will still run WAP 1, WAP 2 and imode for years and years to come, so it
won't make much difference in practice.

How does somebody initiate a Mobile WAP 3.0 initiative?

 

I would like to see the user experience and usability improved for WAP and I
think this could be done by the incorporation of AJAX technologies into WAP
browsers.  The current WAP 2.0 user experience is very limited and could be
improved tenfold.
