ACTION-771

Send a proposal on using meta data
    to alert CT-proxy that this is a rejected response even if it's a
    200 [on Heiko Gerlach - due 2008-06-17].

Hi All,

Background:
When a site owner decides to return 200 OK (instead of 406) and presents an error message in well formed html and human language we won't be able to determine this automatically.

The Idea was to insert additional Meta Tags into the Head of the HTML document.

I was rethinking that Idea. The major issue I see is that in opposite to made for mobile site it might be difficult to find the stakeholders for non made for mobile site which shall be content adapted and returning 200OK instead of 406. If we do not know them we can not recommend them to add the Meta Tag.

If we decide to introduce the additional Meta Tag, I recommend to introduce a http-response tag, which can carry the original HTTP Response code we would expect e.g.

<meta http-response="406">

Best Regards
