Several comments on this section (4.2.6):

  1. From the definition it sounds like this section should be titled  
"Ancestor element" since the element can be a descendant rather than just  
a child.
  2. It is not clear to me why SHOULD is used here rather than MUST.
  3. The "For example" sentence contains a normative requirement.
  4. "contained inside (or owned by)" can simply be "owned by" since that  
definition already talks about descendants.
  5. "owned by" with the relevant pointer to "owned" should probably be  
somewhere in the normative definition.
