Fwd: Agenda: W3C Blockchain Workshop Program Committee Telcon

Hi, folks–

For today's meeting, we'll be using IRC (Internet Relay Chat). If you
don't have an IRC app already, you can use W3C's web interface:

    http://irc.w3.org/?channels=blockchain

If you do have an IRC app, here are the details:
    irc.w3.org, port 6667
    channel: #blockchain

I've set up a public mailing list for those who want to continue this
conversation and help organize the workshop [1]:
    public-blockchain-workshop@w3.org

The starting point for the conversation will be the rough draft of the
workshop page and agenda [2], which is editable through Github [3].

Based on some more conversations, here's the updated agenda for today's
telcon:

Agenda:
1) Roll call
2) What is a W3C workshop?
3) What does a program committee do?
   * before announcing workshop
   * before workshop
   * during workshop
   * after workshop
3) What are the goals of this workshop?
   * for individual participants
   * for organizations and businesses
   * for blockchain communities
   * for W3C
4) What are the key questions we would like answers to through the
workshop? What are the risks?
5) What communities, projects, organizations, and individuals should we
work with?
6) Workshop format
7) Commitment to actions

As a reminder, the first blockchain workshop program committee telcon
will be today, Friday, 29 April, at 4pm ET / 8:00pm UTC / 1pm PT. The
call will last about an hour.

We'll be using Webex for the telcon. You can call in via phone at:

     +1-617-324-0000
     code: 640 671 558

Or use the Webex client if you have it:
      https://mit.webex.com/meet/shepazu

(Details and schedule are in the attached calendar file.)

I look forward to hearing from all of you during the telcon!
