Dear Alasdair, Rafa,

Hi. I'm Jun-ichi Onami in NBDC.
Thank you for your proposal.

Our scope to improve datasets with public schema is closely related with yours.
But I think,
 * Our goal to tackle these subjects are somehow different.
 * I don't have enough resources to manage two subjects.
So, I think it would be better to find a new leader from your team.

I am sorry but I hope to have a good discussion each other at the BH.

Sincerely,
Jun

CCing Jun-ichi Onami from NBDC<https://biosciencedbc.jp/en/> Japan since I think this might be of interest for him. As far as I know NBDC does have experience building tools supporting schema.org<http://schema.org/>. I am aware they did work on a search application<https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3532241/> based on schema.org<http://schema.org/>. Also Jun-ichi wrote a proposal<https://github.com/elixir-europe/BioHackathon/tree/master/interoperability/Putting%20structured%20data%20into%20individual%20entry%20pages%20in%20biological%20database> for the Paris BioHacakthon<http://bh2018paris.info/> about marking-up tools. I think it would be great to have NBDC engaged in Bioschemas and leading this topic.

Regards,
Rafa.

Dear All,

Justin Clark-Casey has moved onto a new job and will no longer be able to serve on the Leadership Team in his role for Support Tools.

I would like to formally thank Justin for all his valuable work to the community over the last couple of years and for his involvement with the Leadership team over the last 3 months. We wish you well with the new job.

There is now a vacancy in the Leadership Team for someone to champion the Support Tools. If you are interested in this role, please contact me directly.

Best regards
