Re: Paris BioHackathon proposal

Hi Carole, all,

Our proposal is for the Biohackathon. It is around metadata flow: getting original metadata/links, finding curation made by other groups (such as from MarRef using Bioschemas, but also via API queries or else), push this into a data clearinghouse and validate it, then add this onto biosamples. It touches on BIoschemas as a way of getting data back but unlike the bioschemas proposal it is not centered around it.
I’m hoping to finish the write up soon and can send you the draft if that’s of interest?

Biosamples as part of ECCB sounds like a great idea; let us know if you need anything from us.

Cheers,
Melanie

Maybe we can try and coordinate agendas a little bit closer to the time?

Hence my suggestion to focus it on general themes, which perhaps the leaders could lead. But I appreciate hackers might be looking for technical keywords and project names instead, so if we want to take that approach then maybe this just has to become a big word list, more or less.
