Thanks for sharing these. It is great to see the comparison. Of course we should note that the authors of those slides are heavily involved with the development of ShEx.

Based on the slides, it would seem that ShEx is a good fit for our uses. I believe that we need the following features:

  *   Recursion (only ShEx has a defined semantics)
  *   Extension of shapes (both)
  *   Stems (only ShEx)

We should of course write up our requirements so that we can properly compare the two technologies for our uses.
