Vehicle and Data Specification Reports - 30 Day Comment Period

I am pleased to announce that the Vehicle Information Access API<https://rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-bg/master/snapshots/vehicle_spec_snapshot_latest.html> and <https://rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-bg/master/snapshots/data_spec_snapshot_latest.html> Vehicle Data<https://rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-bg/master/snapshots/data_spec_snapshot_latest.html> Specification reports have reached stability and will enter a 30 day public comment period starting Aug 19, 2014 and ending Sept 18, 2014. The goal of this period is for the specification reports to receive healthy review from the larger public community. The specifications are as follows:

  * Vehicle Information Access API<https://rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-bg/master/snapshots/vehicle_spec_snapshot_latest.html> defines common, durable interfaces for accessing vehicle information from passenger vehicles. It is expected, that once agreed upon, these interfaces will remain stable and constant/durable.

  * Vehicle Data Specification<https://rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-bg/master/snapshots/data_spec_snapshot_latest.html> defines vehicle data interfaces standardizing the definition of specific data, accessible from passenger vehicles. These interfaces are meant to be used in conjunction with the Vehicle Information Access API. It is expected that this document will continue to grow as new data elements are standardized.

Please review these specification reports and submit your comments to the public mailing list (public-autowebplatform@w3.org<mailto:public-autowebplatform@w3.org>) during this period.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this happen.
