RE: Proposal of Monthly Conference Calls

Thanks for the conversation about this.

So we’ll schedule alternating times every other month on the second Tues/Wed of each month.

I’ll send the conf call information over our internal distro list.

Agenda will follow next week, any topics that should be covered please let me know.

Thanks again,
Adam

Dear Andy,

I agree with you. Propose time zone looks severe to eastern America area. Rotation will be fair.
Having said that, I’m afraid I can’t attend the call in the learly every three months. :(

Regards,
Justin

Thank you very much Adam; I think this is great for the first meeting.

However, I think it would be better to continually rotate the time for the following meetings so that we aren't always inconveniencing the same timezone. For example, if all the North American meetings are at 2AM, we may have a difficult time getting North American representation. Same thing applies for all the other time zones, of course.

If we rotate the times, I think it would be better to help get more equal world-wide participation. What does everyone else think?

Dear All,

It’s OK for me. And I just want to correct the time for Tokyo and HongKong.

Subject: Proposal of Monthly Conference Calls

Hi all,

I wanted to propose starting a monthly conf call. This was discussed during each of the F2F meetings.

I think we need a way for the entire group to have a consistent cadence to get together to discuss action items, progress toward goals, technical discussions that need hashing out or a decision, etc. as we drive toward a draft vehicle API spec report.

I would like to propose the second Tues night/Wed of every month starting July 9th/10that:

11pm – Pacific (LA, SF)
2am – Eastern (Boston, NY)
8am – Central European (Paris, Berlin, etc.)
4pm – Japan (Tokyo, Hong Kong)

This way everyone who is a member of our business group can participate and join the conversation.

Does this seem feasible to everyone?

Please discuss over the list with the goal of a decision by COB next Wed June 26th.

Sincerely,
Adam
