Thank you, Ulf.

If I understand it correctly your patch introduces the concepts of
'resource' (RESOURCE) and 'resource branch' (RBRANCH) into VSS next to
'signal' (any datatype) and 'signal branch' (BRANCH).

It would be great if you also could add the new concepts to the README.md
file and explain what their purpose is and what problem they solve.
