RE: Re: CfC: Accessibility Conformance Testing Task Force

¡Very good news!

Thanks Shadi.

Sadly I can't participate due to lack of time.

But I will be attentive to the progress of the group.

I wish you all much success.

Dear auto-WCAG,

The WCAG Working Group has approved the creation of the Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Task Force, as proposed. This Task Force will focus on the specification part of the testing work, while this open auto-WCAG Community Group will continue to develop test rules according to this specification to be developed.

Participation in the new ACT TF will require formally joining the WCAG WG, though regular participation in the main WCAG WG is not necessary.
More guidance on joining ACT TF will follow when it is launched in the coming weeks. If you are interested in participating in ACT TF, please make sure to fully read the ACT TF Work Statement:

More information will follow soon.

Best,
   Shadi

WCAGers,
As we have received only positive feedback leading up to this CfC and no negative responses during it, this CfC is agreed on as a consensus opinion of the working group.

This decision is recorded at https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Decisions

Thanks,

CALL FOR CONSENSUS – ends Thursday August 11 at 4:45pm Boston time.

This is a call for consensus on a proposed Task Force for Accessibility Conformance Testing. The creation of a new task force on this topic was discussed on the WG call, and approved (http://www.w3.org/2016/08/09-wai-wcag-minutes.html#item02).

The Work Statement for the new TF is here:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/task-forces/conformance-testing/work-statement.

If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this position, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.

Thanks,
AWK
