Agree it's important. The relevant issue (https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=17326) is assigned to Chris but could use a summary of the list discussion and a (few) proposal(s) for resolution, since the resolution reached at the May 30th teleconference was not final.
