RE: Agenda for Monday, 31 October 2016 ARIA Authoring Practices Guide Task Force

Weird, I just checked, and quirks mode is not enabled nor is compatibility mode. I ran the code from the local file system and from a hosted web server with the same results. Running IE11 (Version: 11.0.9600.18499) on Windows7.

This isn’t happening on your end? Which OS and browser version are you using?

Both to Can I Use<http://caniuse.com/#feat=addeventlistener> and MDN<https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/EventTarget/addEventListener> say addEventListener is supported from IE9 onwards.

Can you check if you’re running in IE11 mode? Maybe quirks mode is enabled?

Unfortunately not, was testing with IE11 ☺

Thanks for the minutes, sorry I wasn’t present, DST doing its thing…

I’ve done some work on the tabs. Will look into the issue Bryan brought up. Off the top of my head support for addEventListener was added to Internet Explorer in version 9. If I recall that correctly; I will not add support for IE 8.
