Web Annotation WG Agenda for 1 April 11 AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (US)

The Web Annotation Working Group will convene on Friday 1 April at 11 AM
Eastern Daylight Savings Time (US).

Chairs: Rob Sanderson, Tim Cole

Draft Agenda as of 29 March:

1. Scribe Selection, Agenda Review, Announcements

2. Minutes Approval
PROPOSED RESOULTION: Minutes of the previous call are approved:
https://www.w3.org/2016/03/25-annotation-minutes.html

3. For discussion: Does the WG need to meet in person at September
TPAC or would a Virtual F2F or no F2F suffice in lieu of meeting at TPAC?

4. Topics and planning for Berlin F2F meeting in May.

5. Conformance: https://github.com/w3c/web-annotation/issues/165

- Current proposal: "Conformance section will be defined by listing the
required selector/states per media types for various classes of agents
(server, client)" See: http://www.w3.org/2016/03/11-annotation-irc#T16-49-59

- Regarding classes of agents, on 25 March call we identified at least three
and possibly four actors:
        - applications that create conformant annotations
        - applications / services that interpret or need to understand
annotations
        - annotation repositories that gather and disseminate annotations
(overlap with previous?)
        - and possibly services that re-publish annotations
the WG needs to come to consensus regarding the actors / components of the
annotation ecosystem on which our specs levy conformance requirements. This
is also needed in order to create a testing matrix
