Yep, that nicely generalizes the "frob" idea I proposed in http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/ietf-http-wg/2012JanMar/0833.html (except that it focuses in on encryption).

Given that the IETF is closing in on the ni: scheme for the hash-based part, would it be worthwhile thinking about aligning yours with that?  http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-farrell-decade-ni
