On the referer question :-

A lot of the content providers asked me if there could be a mechanism to 
identify when a hit had come from a person's hotlist. I don't see this as 
difficult, we simply need to define a conventional URI for an (unnamed) person's 
hotlist. eg. URI:hotlist.
