Has anyone ever done an analysis of the performance of Web servers?
For example, are there data available for things like the average
response time of an average HTTP server, average number of hits per hour
for an average HTTP server, performance of HTTP servers on different
platforms (UNIX, Win NT, Mac, DEC, etc.). How about a simulation of an
HTTP server? Has anyone done a study on this, and if so, where can I
find the results? Thanks.
