Greetings,

I'm addressing this group as a last resort;  I've not seen this
addressed anyplace.

My problem is that I have a database of HTTP links, and I would like
to batch-check them to see if they remain valid or have changed in
some significant way.

I have some ideas on how to do this, but am still having trouble
believing no one else has solved this problem.  Perhaps there's even
a standard someplace...?

Any suggestions appreciated,
