In fact I wouldn't consider the label header at all on member resources...

 {
    method (resource, label, 0);
    if (depth != 0) {

	  method ( resource, null, depth-1 ) } } }

No, no, _mine_ is more straight forward (one label look-up) -- is just as
predictable -- and returns a multistatus that can be easily groked.<g>
