First of all, I have found that solution - but it does not work in my 


Right now I am using »HTML Tidy for Linux released on 25 March 2009«. I 
have been using tidy for many years, but everything worked fine until my 
tidy-configuration file got destroyed due to a harddisk failure.

As you can see I have tried adding »bare: no« to solve the problem, but 
it did not work.

&#8211; or &ndash; still is being »cleaned« to a hyphen »-«.
